The 5th National Convention of the
Bangladesh Society of Medical Biochemists will be held on 05 December 2009 at
the BIRDEM Auditorium, Kazi Nazrul
Islam Avenue, Shahbag, Dhaka.
The event will be inaugurated by Professor Dr AFM Ruhal
Haque, MP, Honorable Minister
for Health & Family Welfare of the Government of the People's Republic of
Bangladesh as the Chief Guest. Dr. Captain (Retd.) Mozibur Rahman Fakir, MP,
Honorable State Minister for Health & Family Welfare will remain present
as Special Guest. Another Special Guest will be Professor Dr Mahmud Hassan,
President of Bangladesh Medical Association and Ex-VC of BSMMU. The Guest of
Honors will be Professor Dr. Shah Monir Hossain, Director General of Health Services and Dr. Sharfuddin Ahmed, Secretary General of Bangladesh Medical
Association. The inaugural function will be chaired by Professor Dr. Subhagata Chowdhury, President
of Bangladesh Society of Medical Biochemists (BSMB). The function will also
be spoken by Professor Dr. Liaquat Ali, Convener of
Organizing Committee of 5th National Annual Convention of BSMB, Professor Dr.
Iqbal Arslan,
Ex-Secretary General of BSMB and Dean, Basic Sciences Faculty of BSMMU and
Professor Dr. Abul Kalam
Azad, Secretary General of BSMB. In the previous evening (4 December 2009),
there will be a reception dinner cum cultural event at the Khamar bari, Farmgate, Dhaka beginning from 6 pm. |
